Bubble Milk Tea
History –
Bubble tea is a favorite beverage of Chinese citizens, also known as pearl tea and is a product from Taiwan. It is also very popular to Asians, but now, more and more people from different backgrounds like the taste of it. This tea has many varieties and flavors, but the two most popular varieties are black and green pearl milk tea and bubble tea has inspired a variety of bubble tea flavored snacks such as bubble tea ice cream and bubble tea candy normally served with a large plastic straw. The size of the straw means that drinkers can suck up the beads along with the milk tea. It’s made with tea, milk, sweetener and tapioca, and there are so many ways to personalize each cup. There’s no shortage of places to buy the tea throughout China.
Ingredients –
Serving for 3 | |
3 cups of water | 3 tsp white sugar, or to taste |
1 cup quick cooking pearl tapioca | 5 cups brewed black tea |
2 tbsp sweetened condensed milk | 1/5 tsp brown sugar |
Some ice cubes |
Method –
Step one – In a small saucepan, bring water to a boil. Place in tapioca pearls & cover it. Wait for 10 mins. Turn off the heat and let it cool.
Step two – Add brewed tea, condensed milk, white & brown sugar into a shaker. Stir until fully dissolved.
Step three – Add the ice cubes, and shake so the whole drink can get cold. Pour into a glass & add tapioca.
