Chimichanga was invented in the US by  El Charro in Tucson, Arizona, USA. There is also a story that a burrito was mistakenly dropped in the frying and Monika Flin shouted “Chimichanga”, and hence this dish was born. Chimichanga also known as Chimi is a fusion burrito
