Kuttu Ka Dosa-Navratri Special
Introduction
Kuttu ka dosa is a crispy and healthy Navratri food. Kuttu or Buckwheat flour is something that we all prefer in our fasts during Navratri but sometimes we all get bored after having kuttu in the form of purees and pakoras, so today we are sharing a very unique recipe of Kuttu i.e Kuttu ka dosa. It is an instant dosa recipe that can be made within minutes and tastes amazing when served with vrat ki chatni or vrat wale alu. Navratri is the time of the year when many people are craving something wholesome and light. Kuttu ka dosa is a delicious dish when eaten with coconut chutney.
Ingredients
Servings-4 | |
For Dosa | |
5 tbsp buckwheat flour [kuttu aata] | 2 tbsp yogurt |
Sendha Namak to taste | 2 tbsp olive oil |
1 tsp chopped green chillies | 1/2 cup water |
For Stuffing | |
2 boiled mashed potatoes | 1 green chilli chopped |
1 tsp grated ginger | Rock salt [sendha namak] to taste |
1/4 tsp black pepper powder | 1/3 tsp cumin seeds |
Oil for frying |
Preparations
For Stuffing–
- Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seed. Cook for half a min.
- Then add grated ginger and chopped chilli and saute for half a min..
- Add rock salt, black pepper powder and mashed potatoes.
- Mix well and switch off the flame. Our stuffing is ready.
For Dosa
- In a bowl, add yogurt, flour and whisk them together with water to make a smooth batter. Add salt, mix well.
- Add the green chillies and mix again.
- Take a dosa pan or non stick pan and put in on low heat.
- Pour a ladle of the batter and spread it in round just like normal dosa.
- Cook for a few mins and spread more oil around the edges to make it crisp. Now flip it over and cook the other side.
- Now place some stuffing in the middle and scrape the dosa from sides to the centre with the help of spatula. Fold it twice.
- Serve hot with mint and coconut chutney.
